About the H5C

We saw plenty of opportunity to play in scramble and team golf tournaments, but wanted the opportunity to showcase our individual skills: 72 holes of stroke play against a group of guys that are fun to be around.

Don't break the bank

A lot of our participants are on a budget. We have a lot of fun, but keep costs reasonable.

Build your network

Our tournament is a great way to make new contacts and meet people with shared interests.

Get back home

We squeeze all 4 rounds into 2 days, so you can get back to your family and that job you have to pay for golf.

people talk

What do participants have to say about their experience participating in the tournament?

"I look forward to playing in this tournament every year. It is the first thing that gets marked on my calendar. It is a golfer's dream weekend: 72 holes of golf with all of your best buds out having fun and eating great food. The only thing it is missing is a new champion!"

"I have been participating in the tourney since year one and I can honestly say that it is one of the highlights of my year. The tournament is set up perfect for a guy like me. I say that because not only do I love golf, but I also love spending quality time with people who also love golf. Tyler and the committee do an excellent job at setting up the tee times and groups and using our handicaps to play different games. This provides a fun and competitive atmosphere to the tournament. This tournament will forever hold a special place in my heart and I look forward to many more years of slicing drives into Hobble Creek, three putting every other hole, hanging with family and friends, and enjoying every minute of it."

"I have been a part of the Hobble Creek Classic for the last 4 years. And I can say with an honest heart that there is not much I look forward to more than the H5C. Tyler King and the H5C do a phenomenal job in putting together one of the best golf experiences I’ve ever had. Playing 36 holes of golf two days in a row combined with different in round games and combined with the 4 round stroke play tournament is something that I look forward to every year. I don’t think I have stopped talking about last year's tournament. Ha ha. The environment that is created by Tyler King and the committee in helping this weekend be as fun and as competitive is the reason I keep coming back! I can’t thank Tyler enough for allowing me to be a part of this special weekend! And I look forward to MANY more years of the H5C!"
